Landon has recently been saying ba, not ma or da like mama and dada want, but here is a sampling of that cute baby language only parents and grandparents really watch.

It wouldn't be a hot, humid summer in Kentucky without being able to climb in a pool. Unfortunately the pool is really only big enough for Landon.

Landon started his day off right with a messy, messy, breakfast. He ate so much he didn't know what he should do next as exhibited by the quizzical look in the second picture.
Landon decided at Target that he needed his own musical instrument. We brought it home and he proved quite adept at using it. He loves to bang on things and if they make noise even better!
While out shopping we also stocked up on other summer gear for Landon, basically Landon always hits the jackpot when mom goes shopping, but he does make it all look good!
While mommy and Landon were shopping Jace had a busy day at the hospital. As most of you know Jace graduated from dental school last year and is specializing in periodontics. He has been doing hospital rotations in May and June. In May he was doing an internal medicine rotation and in June he started his anesthesiology rotation. He has been enjoying it so far and today he was in a heart surgery. He was able to hold the heart while they operated on it. It was an exciting day for Dr. Hansen as he likes to be called!

Today Landon was really moving around. He can't crawl yet, but he scoots backwards and can scoot around on his bottom. Today he wanted to play with the chair and scooted over there and then started crying when he got stuck underneath the chair. He smiled of course for the camera, he is very photogenic.

Landon as described earlier can say ba and so of course we sing the song that you must know if you can say ba, Barbara Ann by the Beach Boys. He loves their music and when we actually played the song we got a great reaction. So here is a little taste of Landon grooving to the Beach Boys!

Today we put that summer gear to use and went to the pool at Six Flags. Landon was a little scared of the waves, but he loved just splashing in the pool and watching the other kids splash around. He also loved the plastic alligator in the kiddie pool and floating around in his floatie. We played so hard that Landon was exhausted and fell asleep on the way home. Unfortunately in the transfer to his bed he woke up and didn't go back to sleep until bedtime. He has really been fighting his afternoon naps lately. I think he is trying to go to one nap! Oh no, for mommy!
