The Lamprechts in Louisville

The Lamprechts came to visit the day after Christmas.  Mindy and I went shopping for a few hours and it was  a lot of fun shopping without any children.  Then we allowed the boys to go frisbee golfing one day and out to play tennis the next.  We also played a lot of wii, tennis especially, and Jace and I beat Mindy and Logan of course! :)  Then one day we all went to the park with the kids and it was a lot of fun.  The weather was perfect and sunny as you can tell from the pictures.  The kids all had fun chasing each other around.

Another picture of Landon and daddy having fun and bonding.  We love the little guy even though he can be quite the handful.  Even though it was from a couple weeks earlier I thought I would throw it in here.

Christmastime at Mark and Krystal's

Before Christmas we went to visit Jace's brother Jordan and Stephanie for a few days and we had a lot of fun watching movies and playing games in Quincy, Illinois and then we went to visit Mark and Krystal in Kirksville for a few days.  On Christmas Eve we went sledding for Landon's first time in Kirksville.  It was cold, but a lot of fun.  Landon acts comatose in the cold and just stands there; it is pretty funny.  It is great seeing Dylan, Ashlynn, Logan, and Emmalynn get so big and capable.  Below is Dylan, Logan, and Krystal.

Later that night we hung out with Mark, Krystal, and Krystal's brother LW and his girlfriend and played mad gab and then played rock band.  Krystal and I got some quality while wrapping presents and got done just in time to see Mark try the one man rockband at about 2:30 in the morning.  He got through about 55% of the song.  Not bad!

Christmas Morning
Last year at Christmas time Landon was only a few months old so we were excited for this year and seeing his reaction.  I think he had more fun with all the kids enthusiastic and ripping into the presents.  We took a few presents for Landon to open up there and opened up the rest later that day when we got home.  Below is Logan opening up a football from Dylan (I think).
Ok, I know I look like crap, but it was Christmas morning, no makeup!  At least Landon looks cute enjoying his new toy.
Landon enjoying playing with Logan's new toy truck, look at that expression he loves it.  And a basketball hoop to start practicing young.  He actually likes to climb through it and carry it around, until he gets stuck in it and needs help.  Emmie looks cute in her pajamas in the background.  Somehow I didn't get that many pictures of the other kids, but needless to say we had a blast that morning.  And when we left Dylan and dad were busy playing a new wii light saber game.  We had a lot of fun being with family for Christmas and we thank them for putting up with us for a few days.

The Louisville Museum Tour

With everyone here we went to several museums around town.  Here is a bit of the fun we had over the couple of days after Thanksgiving.

Kentucky Derby Museum
You can't come to Louisville without visiting the famous Churchill Downs.
In the first picture they are leading a horse around the paddock before they race so you can look at all the horses and decide which one you want to win or bet on!  The second picture is of Oliver with a replica of the roses they put on the winner, thus the run for the roses.  In the group picture it is Dad, Mindy, Jordan, and Jayden.  If you look closely you can see all the crazy derby hats behind everyone in the case.

First riding the horse Landon, Tulie, and Oliver.  Everyone was trying to ride the horse in the correct jockey position.  It is definitely harder than it looks!  I think Jace might be in pain.  Mom looks like a pro though.

Louisville Science Center
We all had fun running through all the floors.  We loved the animal exhibits the most.  Somehow we only got pictures of our family.  But most of us were there having fun, trying to make a bubble around ourselves.

Landon in the cockpit of a rocket or something.  Don't worry the bear won't eat us it is stuffed.  It sure is big though!

Frazier Historical Museum
Even us Kentuckians had not been to this museum and I think it was the best one we have ever been to.  It was an amazing museum the third floor was all English history with knights, wars, and suits of armor.  The second floor was all American history with guns and gunslingers.  If you are ever in Louisville definitely make this a stop.

Our family with a medieval knight behind us.  Jace and his mom with a union soldier behind them.  Oh how the times have changed throughout history.
