Little Landon Trouble

Now that Landon is one he seems to just get into everything and fortunately he is photogenic so we get it all on camera.  These photo gems were taken at the end of September.  Good thing we love the little troublemaker.

Windstorm 2008

In mid-September we had a windstorm like no other.  It was fun to watch the trees bend and twisting.  Then came the power outage at first we thought oh no, but actually it was kind of fun.  We used candles and the weather was perfect so we didn't need air conditioning or a heater.  The hard part was cleaning out the fridge!  We were out of power 3 1/2 days, but it was great playing outside and visiting with neighbors.  It's amazing how much more outdoor activity you get with no power and nice weather.  There were a few branches down on our road, but 1/2 mile away close to a park we go to got hit hard and here is a picture of a whole tree that got snapped off.

Landon's First Birthday!

  Although Landon's birthday is September 4th we celebrated a few days early over labor day weekend with Mark and Krystal's family.  It was a blast and it was great seeing everyone and just having a weeked of "Summer Fun".

We had a sun pinata and everyone got plenty of turns to knock it to pieces.  I decided we needed to carry on the tradition of a pinata.  We also played on the waterslide, which turned out to be a hit.  

Landon got a lot of great presents which he still enjoys and plays with today.  Thanks everyone!  Here he is enjoying the presents and his first time really opening presents!

Most importantly the first birthday cake.  Let's see how he does eating it!
