An Idahoan Christmas!

Christmas morning at the Hansen's. Grandma hanging out with little Kian on his first Christmas. He didn't quite understand all the excitement. We'll give him a few years. Landon now totally understands it. He wanted to unwrap all the presents and then insisted on carrying them around with him in a Christmas bag everywhere. His big present this year was a kids digital camera in an effort to keep him from playing with ours.

Up at Grandma Shuldberg's the grandkids performed a Christmas pageant. Here's Megan representing a very pregnant Mary. We all thought it was pretty funny.

Here's Alanna with her little angel Baylee. Clarynn took charge of the pageant and made several little costumes. She made this costume for Baylee and it turned out adorably. Baylee wasn't so sure about the halo.

The shepherd and the two wise men bringing their gifts. It was adorable because Ella took the lid off the perfume and licked it and then made the funniest face. Oh to be young and curious again.

Here's the whole cast. They couldn't get Landon to wear his costume or participate unfortunately, but the pageant was great. We all enjoyed it and the kids had fun dressing up.

Here's my little boy all dressed up in his Christmas outfit. Isn't Kian just adorable? It is fun dressing up the little one. He's a big boy and just smiles all the time. Whenever anyone talks to him he just lights up. I love having my boys even though they can be trouble. Below are my two boys. Landon is happy to hold Kian and Kian is a little unsure of it. Brothers that will have much fun together in the future. Merry Christmas!

Being a Baby and Pre Christmas Festivities

Landon decided that maybe Kian was on to something with the bassinet and the pacifier. It is ironic that the child who would never take a pacifier now thinks they are fun. I guess it's always more fun to be a baby.

The boys playing around. Jace is the best father ever. He handles Landon's energy well, although sometimes he fuels the fire.

Look at these two, can anyone have any sweeter or cuter two little boys?

Our pre Christmas festivities. We let Landon play with one of his presents the week before we left for Idaho. It's a little tent and tunnel. He loved playing in it and he even napped in it once From then on he went and hid in it whenever we told him it was bedtime or naptime. Here is the boys camping out in the tent.

Mindy Sue Photography

While Mindy was here she kept herself busy on several mornings with some photo shoots to enhance her portfolio for her new business, Mindy Sue Photography. So we were the lucky recipients of her talents. Here are a few of the pictures we love, I must admit my favorite family picture is on our Christmas card so I didn't post that one. Thanks Mindy these turned out fabulous!

She also did a photo shoot of baby pictures of Kian. I must admit that now I'm wishing we had done this with Landon when he was a baby too! There are many adorable pictures of Kian, but I didn't want to post too many so here are a couple of my favorites, although I basically love them all.

Thanks Mindy! You are a photographer extraordinaire!

A Great Gluten Free Thanksgiving

The table is all set for the Thanksgiving feast and we are ready to eat! The problem is that when the kids are eating we have to cater to their needs. Oh well, we still had a great Thanksgiving.

We moved all the food to the serving table and then Tulie followed it over and would only eat at that table. She wanted to be close to seconds I guess. Logan made his delicious orange rolls and rainbow jello. We couldn't get Landon to eat anything, but the jello which he loved. Oliver was the same and really loved the jello. While Tulie loved her gluten free orange rolls and couldn't get enough of them. We have enjoyed our Thanksgivings here, but hopefully next year we'll be able to get together with even more family.

Our little Kian enjoying his first Thanksgiving. Look at him so intent on his hand. He's so adorable and such a good baby.

Mindy, as always taking pictures. She took some great pictures of our family and little Kian while she was here. It's nice to have some professional pictures and it made our Christmas cards look great!

Having fun at the park even though it was cold. Landon absolutely adores Oliver and followed him everywhere the whole time they were here. Landon was sad when they left. He came home from church and went straight downstairs to where they had been staying and looked around. For the next few days he kept looking around for them and saying Tulie and Oliver.

What would Thanksgiving be without a fire and some smores? And marshmallow smeared all over the face! We have a little fire pit that we never seem to use except when we have family, but we sure have fun hanging out outside around the fire.

My Boys

Bath time with daddy is so fun, especially with two little ones in the tub now. Daddy enjoys spending time with his boys. Kian is so relaxed he even falls asleep bathing. Landon loves the tub tub, but he loves the camera even more. He is trying to get the camera from me in the picture below.

Landon does love to try out all Kian's swag, actually they are all his old things he just doesn't remember it. Here he is in the bouncer, but he has also tried out he swing, the bassinet, and the pacifier! He will share with Kian though. He can't understand why he won't play with his truck when it's given to him.

First Week Home With Two

Don't we all look a little tired? I guess our new little family is exhausting!

Baby's can sleep anywhere can't they? Except Kian always wakes up when I put him in his bassinet. Go figure.

Grandma and Landon spent a lot of quality time racing cars. Landon loves cars as anyone who has seen him recently knows. He hoards them and carries them all around! Around the nursery, the playground, the house. He is so funny about it. The funniest is that his favorite cars are a truck he found at Sierra and Megan's house that they let him keep and a car of Oliver's that they let him keep. So I guess I don't need to buy him anymore as he keeps acquiring more all by his cute self.

I had heard of this idea of getting a disposable camera for the older brother to take pictures with so they don't feel left out when we are taking pictures of the baby. Landon loved it so much he just kept taking pictures until they were all quickly gone and now he wants to take pictures with our camera every time we get it out. At least we know what we are getting him for Christmas now!

My boys, aren't they all adorable together. I love having boys they are so sweet and energetic. Sometimes a little too much energy.

My two little boys, aren't they so adorable together. Landon has done really well with Kian, a little jealous at first, but he also loves him a lot. Sometimes he loves him too much, he have to harness all that love and attention.

Now that is a real MAN! He can take care of the baby and make breakfast. I knew I made a good decision when I married him. I love my hardworking, smart, dedicated, amazing man.

On Saturday when Grandma was here we had beautiful weather especially for November so we just had to get out and enjoy it. So we headed to Bernheim for some hiking and relaxing. Landon loved all the leaves and just kept sticking his feet deep in them and saying I'm sinking. I have no idea where he learned that from, but it was so funny.
We went up to the top of a tower to enjoy the view of the surrounding area and it was beautiful. The leaves were a couple of weeks past their prime, but it was still a great view (shown below). Landon must do everything we do so he's trying out the binoculars.
We finally got some pictures with Grandma on the day she left.

On The Day You Were Born

Here's a picture of Kian on the day he was born, the 1st. We were surprised it was a boy, but so excited. The vast majority of friends and family seemed to think we would have a girl. We are sure Landon will love having a little brother when Kian gets a bit older. He's a big boy and so cute with all that hair and his eyes wide open.

Here's the first picture of Mommy with Kian right after delivery. I am in love with my sweet new little baby boy.

Daddy and his new little mini me; at least for a few months until he turns into a blonde "Shuldberg clone" like Landon.

Day 2 - How sweet!

Day 3 - Going home! It was so fun dressing him in his little outfit and we were really excited to go meet big brother and all go home together.

Landon was so happy to have a baby brother that he followed him around everywhere and literally smothered him with loving. Sometimes it wasn't so loving though. He did get a little jealous, but nothing compared to how happy he is to have the baby. Here we are enjoying another diaper change. We do love having Kian home and we are trying to adjust to two demanding boys. Landon is full of energy and Kian is a great baby, but all newborns take a lot of time and energy. We are grateful to have such a happy, calm newborn as part of our family.
