Nauvoo Bliss

For Memorial day weekend we went on a fun trip to Quincy and Nauvoo Illinois to see Jordan, Stephanie, and Kourtney.  It was a fun trip with beautiful weather.  We arrived late Friday night, but made time to go swimming at the hotel pool with everyone.  Landon is a big chicken and hates any splashing water, that and the fact that he was tired made him a little grumpy.  We had fun and then prepared for the big day the next day.  We traveled to Nauvoo for the day and went through a session in the Nauvoo temple with Stephanie taking out her endowments.  Then we proceeded to have a white wedding or sealing for Jordan, Steph, and Kourtney.  It was an amazing experience and beautiful temple.  The last sealing we attended was 7 years ago so it was a great experience and reminder of our blessings.  Here is a picture of the fam afterwards.
After the temple we enjoyed Nauvoo for a bit and then went out to a nice dinner afterwards.  Thanks dad for splurging on us!  Then we headed back to Quincy and the girls went out for some karoake.  I'm not very good, but I had a lot of fun until duty called and we went back to the screaming, tired children.  I did learn that Steph and Mindy are quite the performers.  This was the only picture we managed to take the whole trip of Colter sleeping on the way back to Quincy.  The good news is that we don't have embarrassing pictures of anyone else.

Sunday we went to church and then just hung out with family that evening eating dinner and making smores.  Mark and Krystal and the fam drove over to Quincy and we went to the park and played for a few hours.  Krystal and I compared pregnancies and bellies while the kids ran around and around.  Landon adored having his older cousins there and did his best to keep up with them.  When he couldn't they helped him up tubes and down slides.  We sure miss them and wish we were even closer to spend some quality time.  Those kids are sure getting big I still remember them as babies and toddling around like Landon.  It will be good to get closer to home and hopefully these next two additions will live close enough to be good playmates.    Monday we packed up, played some wii and headed out for the long drive back to Kentucky.  We had a great trip and hope that all is going well for everyone and hope to see them all soon.

Fabulous Friends

We went on a trip to the zoo with our friend Renee and Shelby.  The tiger was even down close so we could try to get a picture with him.  This was the first time we went into the petting zoo and petted the goats.  Landon absolutely loved it.

It was feeding time for the giraffe so we actually got some good pictures with the giraffe.

The lion's were posing for us, but the gorillas' weren't.   It was a fun trip to the zoo and it's always good to go with friends.  We even stopped by the splash park although Landon wouldn't play in the water.  He doesn't mind  standing water, but he hates splashing water in his face.

One day a group of us got together at Bernheim Forest and hate a little picnic.  The kids were running around, but couldn't get into too much trouble.  It was a beautiful warm spring day and a lot of fun.  The group picture below was not easy to get it involved a timer and way to many kids, but there is an idea of our play group.  We love to get together at the park.  Unfortunately a few had already moved and  a few more are moving soon.  We love you all and have so much fun with all of you!  Good luck in all future endeavors.

Play Time with Daddy

Isn't this just the most adorable picture?  My two men and both happy at the same time, not an easy feat! J/K

Daddy stop splashing me!

Aren't I the cutest?  I must be an angel, so don't believe all those stories my mother tells about me.  I never cry or tantrum or do any of those terrible two things!

Look what I got, I'm so excited to ride it around all summer.  Isn't my outfit cute, we bought it in Idaho with Aunt Kristin, Sierra, and Megan.

I'm not the only one having fun on the tricycle.  I'm so strong I can even push Daddy around.

I don't know where Landon got this from, but we found it hilarious.  Goldfish bag over his sippie cup and then drink.  Maybe he's trying to cover up what he's drinking.  Don't take away my juice mama, I swear it's just water.

This is what my daddy does, so I thought I would start early.  I'm going to be a financial guru when I grow up!

We just want everyone to see that we are raising Landon right.  He's learning to play both the wii and tennis at the same time.  The things every almost two year old needs to know.

Derby Parade

The Thursday before derby we went to the parade.  It was a lot of fun.  Landon loved watching all the floats, balloons, horses, and especially the bands.  He loved the marching band so much he wouldn't turn for a picture, but here is a good sampling of the other fun we had at the parade.  Here are a few of the balloons Elmo and Nemo.

There were several clowns and Landon wasn't so sure about them, as you can tell.

Jace's favorite part of the parade.  I wonder how fast that boat goes?

One thing I love about Derby is Gallopalooza.  Different artists paint horses and then businesses sponser them and place them outside for a few months.  They are beautiful and it is something totally unique to Louisville.  Here is a few of them on a float.

A cool old stagecoach.  I love remnants of the old wild west.

This was something cool.  It was all veterans carrying the flag.  Thank you veterans!
