January at the Zoo & Brothers

One Saturday it was actually pretty warm it hit 50 and was sunny so the whole family loaded up for an outing to the zoo. If you notice in the bottom picture it's a little hard getting everyone to look at the camera. I mean the orangatangs of course!

While at the zoo Landon just had to play on the playground. He of course found the steepest slide and went down it several times. Just look at his hair blowing in the wind. Below is a video of him going down the slide.

When Kian was about a month old I went shopping and I could not resist buying some matching shirts! Here are my adorable boys in them. Kian adores Landon and they get along very well. It's going to be an adventure with two boys.

Show me the love!

Spider Crickets!

Jace will tell you they are just crickets and nothing to be afraid of, and though I don't run from them like I used to, I disagree. They are huge with long legs and they jump at you, very scary. Ask Mindy and Logan who captured one from our basement or my mom who smashed one with a book. I had never seen them until I moved to Louisville. They seem to like our unfinished basement we occasionally see one in there, but we moved a treadmill away from the wall and there hiding behind it were these lovely specimens. Sorry all you PETA members, but we grabbed the raid and the spider crickets are no longer with us.

Superb Sledding

We got about 4 inches of snow so we had to go sledding. After Jace got home from school we went to the park and hit the hills. Louisville has some good sledding at it's parks. Last year Landon was a little afraid, but this year he loved it. After pulling him up the hill a few times each we were ready to go home and get warm. But here are a few pictures from our adventure.

Kian managed to sleep the whole time we were sledding.

2010 ~ A Happening Year

This is how Jace's new year started, looks like a handful doesn't it? Well 2010 is finally here and we are ready for it, we think. It's funny how we have anticipated all that is coming and now that it's here it's a little scary and overwhelming. Is it a bad sign that my new year's post didn't happen until the end of January? We didn't really make new year's goals this year. We just are going to try and make it through the next six months. We have to get a loan, finish buying a business, Jace has to survive school by finishing his research and writing his thesis. Then we have to get our house ready to sell, sell it, find a house to rent and move all our junk. Ok mostly Landon's junk. I don't know how he ended up with so many toys. I'm excited to move, but not excited to pack and move it all. Well here's to the next year and all the stressful, exciting times ahead of us.

Kian's Blessing

Kian had his blessing in Idaho on December 27th and it was wonderful having both his grandpas and a couple uncles there for the blessing. Isn't he a sweetheart?

Jace and his little boy on the big day. I'm so lucky to have such a great husband and such a wonderful little baby. Jace gave a beautiful blessing and Kian behaved superbly.

Our precious growing family. Two boys are a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. Landon keeps things interesting and is quickly learning new words. He likes to test our patience and see what he can get away with. I am sure he gets that from Jace.
