Yard Work

August 23, 2008

Jace went to town trimming the trees in our backyard!  Then we had to haul them all down to the front yard for junk day!  As you can see it got a little messy although Landon had fun playing outside in the dirt and on the neighbors swing set!

Harwell Family Reunion Fun

When in Idaho or Utah one must always go to the Harwell family reunion because we all know that the Harwells know how to have fun!  We went to the Ogden reservoir and camped.  Jace wasn't there, but Landon and I had fun seeing family we hadn't see in years.

Avery, Paige, and Landon bonding while camping.

Carly, Tyler, and the new addition.  Carly looking great after a new baby!

Hanging out around camp and the campfire. Singing songs around the campfire is a lot of fun with the talented Harwells playing guitar!  It was a lot of fun even though we got shut down because it was after curfew!!

Everyone just hanging around the camp, of course including the dogs!

The wedding cruise - Everyone went out on the boats with the newlyweds while Uncle Scott serenaded them and Uncle Curtis said a few words.

Grandpa and Landon bonding.  It helped keep mom sane to have grandpa take the little guy and go on walks just like he does with his daddy!

Balloon Festival Fun

Grandpa took a ride on this balloon he loved it!  It sure looked like fun from the ground.  We had fun following just watching all the balloons rise.  I had never seen it done before.  Someday I will have to go on a balloon ride too.

How cute they are together, we sure love them!

The highlight of our lives in his pajamas still playing around the field where the balloons lifted off.  Isn't he adorable!?!

Shuldberg Fam in Idaho

Landon and I went home in August for a few weeks and left Jace home in Kentucky to go to school.  It was a long time, but lots of fun for us and Landon absolutely loved playing with all of his cousins!

0   Uncle Mark knows how to have Wii fun and we played a lot of rock band!  For those of you that have yet to experience it, it is a lot of fun and you can really get into being a rockstar!

One day we went to the Tauphaus Park zoo and then over to the rides and the kids had a lot of fun on the ferris wheel, airplanes, carousel and more.  They even got Kristin and Patrick to go on a ride!  The girls were fearless of course!!  The boys did all right too.
While there we went to the Mud Lake Rodeo with all the kids, it was fun but we got rained out half way through.  It was ok though, because the next night we left the kids with grandma and we went to the rodeo again.  Laugh all you want, but there is nothing quite like a fun small town rodeo.  The parade is fun too, all the farm equipment you want to see, but at least there is plenty of candy!

HIKING THE MENAN BUTTES

To really have fun in Idaho you have to get outdoors!  This was a blast hiking up the menan buttes with all the kids.  It was a good hike and the kids loved every minute.  At one point grandma thought the littlest ones should turn back and said anyone five and older could go on, but Logan said grandma please I'm almost five even though he had just turned 4.  It was so cute we all kept hiking and took a zillion photos.  This is all the grandkids in the last picture as of August 2008.  As you can tell most of the men weren't there so it was up to the women to haul all the kids up!
