The last couple days Landon has decided that it is not just good enough to play with the water in the sink he must also be in the sink.  Yesterday and today he has climbed in there and played for 30-40 minutes happily.  Today he was trying to use the sprayer, but it was a little hard for him to push the button.  Every time I do dishes he is sure to splash the water everywhere.  It seems like it is the only time he is really happy.  I guess he knows it's summer and he should be playing in the water!

Marker Madness

What's wrong with this picture?  Nothing, Landon just thought that his legs should match his outfit.  He's kind of impish, but pretty cute.   If he disappears into the next room with a marker watch out!  He won't color on paper, but body embellishment, heck yes.  It came off easy enough we just went swimming at six flags.

The next day he couldn't get a marker, but the pen was handy so fun day again!  It's hard to see but he really went to town.  This time I had to bath him not just put him in the swimming pool.  Boy it's tough being a mom!

Family Fun on Father's Day Weekend

The Lamprecht's made the long trip to Louisville to come see us for a few days over father's day weekend.  They arrived Friday night and we enjoyed being outside and watching Oliver trying to imitate his dad's superb water sliding skills.  The night was capped off by nothing other than a trip to Krispy Kreme!

The next day was too hot for anything but something involving water so we headed to Indiana to Deam Lake.  There we grilled hamburgers and played in the water for hours.  The weather was perfect for this endeavor and Landon even enjoyed it after he got watermelon and cheetos in his tummy.  Here are a few pics from there, unfortunately we didn't get any of all the waterfights involving Mindeena!  

Later that night we had a real date with all four of us and zero children.  We got two babysitters and went out to dinner, a movie, and ice cream.  Dinner was delicious, the movie was bad, and Mindy ate half of Logan's ice cream, but it was fabulous.  Even better was we came home to bathed and asleep children.  Fantastic!

Father's day started off right as we all had a Krispy Kreme that Mindy and Jace had gotten the night before as a father's day gift for Logan.  Aren't the kids cute, it is funny watching Landon trying to mimic all the older kids do.

Later that day we had a great grilled dinner thanks to Jace, he is the expert, I mean "professional" griller (Just ask Ollie).  Then we had cake that we made and the kids decorated.  The boys had a father's day which involved frisbee golf and a hot tennis match, by hot we mean humid and sweaty.  Just ask Logan!  Mindy got the most thoughtful gift for Logan, she made a scrapbook about superdad!  I made Jace a card on snapfish that is cute with lots of pictures of him and Landon and a little poem, and got him a keychain with Landon's picture on it.  Overall it was a great father's day.

Jace chilling with the cute little Sawyer.  Sawyer is the sweetest little guy.  He just plays around  with his cute crawl and likes to be held.  I hope our next one is as sweet as Sawyer.

On Monday we went to Six Flags and had a ball after a big yummy breakfast.  We rode a lot of rides and then went to the water park for a few hours.  Tulie was scared on a few of the bigger rides.  Landon did pretty good, but he was a little afraid of sitting by himself on the carousel of all things.  Us adults even got a chance to go on some waterslides by taking turns with the kids.

We had a fun few days off with Mindy and Logan and glad they made the trip with three kids, never an easy thing to do.  We were sad to see them go and our house has been a little empty since.  I think Landon really misses his cousins.  We are glad we are going to visit them in just a couple of weeks.  We are sure to have fun with them and never a dull moment with four kids running around.  Someday we'll hopefully all live close to one another so we can hang out whenever we want!
