The Louisville Museum Tour

With everyone here we went to several museums around town.  Here is a bit of the fun we had over the couple of days after Thanksgiving.

Kentucky Derby Museum
You can't come to Louisville without visiting the famous Churchill Downs.
In the first picture they are leading a horse around the paddock before they race so you can look at all the horses and decide which one you want to win or bet on!  The second picture is of Oliver with a replica of the roses they put on the winner, thus the run for the roses.  In the group picture it is Dad, Mindy, Jordan, and Jayden.  If you look closely you can see all the crazy derby hats behind everyone in the case.

First riding the horse Landon, Tulie, and Oliver.  Everyone was trying to ride the horse in the correct jockey position.  It is definitely harder than it looks!  I think Jace might be in pain.  Mom looks like a pro though.

Louisville Science Center
We all had fun running through all the floors.  We loved the animal exhibits the most.  Somehow we only got pictures of our family.  But most of us were there having fun, trying to make a bubble around ourselves.

Landon in the cockpit of a rocket or something.  Don't worry the bear won't eat us it is stuffed.  It sure is big though!

Frazier Historical Museum
Even us Kentuckians had not been to this museum and I think it was the best one we have ever been to.  It was an amazing museum the third floor was all English history with knights, wars, and suits of armor.  The second floor was all American history with guns and gunslingers.  If you are ever in Louisville definitely make this a stop.

Our family with a medieval knight behind us.  Jace and his mom with a union soldier behind them.  Oh how the times have changed throughout history.

Thanksgiving 2008

You've never had a full house until you've had 10 people and 6 kids in one house for 3 1/2 days!  But even packed in we had a blast or maybe it was because we were all so close that we had so much fun.  Here's all of us all dressed up for Kourtney's blessing.

Here is the happy couple and the beautiful little Kourtney after her blessing.

The Thanksgiving spread, it sure was delicious.

Bath time sure is fun with all those kids.  At least the kids had fun splashing around.

What to do for fun with all those kids?  Because let's face it, the boys are just big kids.  Let's see we played the wii...

We played in the bounce a round...

We had campfires with plenty of smores...

And we just hung out...

Here is a great picture of Jace's and my family.  We sure owe Mindy for all these great family photos.  She took so many great ones I couldn't really decide what to use for the blog.

Corn Maze and More Landon

November 1, 2008
We went to Huber Farms in Indiana and played on the toys and went through the corn maze.  It wasn't exactly like the ones back home, but we had a lot of fun playing around. Landon loved watching the ducks in the pond there.  Then we bought some apples and ate some fried chicken and called it a day.

Landon loving his tonka truck and being like mom and dad on the phone.  Now he makes his dad hook the dog leash and pull him around in circles for at least 15 minutes every night.  In fact that is what they are doing right now as I write this!

November 16, 2008
I bought this toy for Landon at the store, I just couldn't resist and after showing him once or twice he definitely got the hang of it.  He also could take 4 or 5 steps, but then he would fall over and just crawl to wherever he was going.  About 3 weeks before he could only walk about one step before falling over.  About a week after this he started walking all the time.  Oh, and it was our seventh anniversary.  We must be getting old to be married that long!
