Turning 3!

Finally, here is Landon's 3rd firetruck birthday. He had so much fun and we invited all his new friends in our neighborhood.

Of course it's not a party without a pinata and candy, lots of candy!

Opening presents! Landon got a lot of great gifts from his friends. It was a lot of fun. We also played games in the backyard running through a little obstacle course and just jumping on the trampoline. Trampolines are great entertainment!

Grandma and Grandpa Shuldberg drove down for the birthday celebration. It was fun to have family on his birthday this year. We have enjoyed being closer to family since moving. It's still a drive, but at least it's just a drive!

Let's eat cake!

Here's a little video of singing Happy Birthday to Landon with all his friends and his firetruck cake! The kids seemed to really enjoy it and I was glad it turned out all right.

Home Sweet Idaho

Well I'm finally posting pics of our house (just renting) for the family that hasn't seen it yet. I thought I would start out with the most important thing, the community pool right across the street, in fact I took this from my front step.

Drumroll.......So here it is. Cute isn't it.

The entryway; the office is on the left and then there is a half bath on the left also.

The office is on the left as you enter the house. It isn't completely organized yet, but what can I say I do have two kids!

Here is the living room area. We love the fireplace and how open it is. This picture was taken from the dining room and you can see where you enter the house. There are a lot of wonderful windows that you can't see because they made my picture too dark when I took them from the entryway.

The dining room, the kitchen is to the right and the living room is behind it, where I am taking the picture from. Yes our little table looks sad in the pretty new dining room. We are aware!

Mom's favorite room the kitchen! This is the front area facing the dining area and the living room on the left. The next picture shows the part of the kitchen to the right. There is a fabulous pantry also, which I love because my last house didn't have one!

My new washer and dryer, I love them. This is just off the kitchen and continues on to the garage.

Our master bath. You can see the big tub the shower is on the left and the double vanity and toilet on the right. I'm taking the picture from our walk in closet. Which is big enough that I actually have given Jace half. The door you see leads to our bedroom.

Next is the upstairs. When you go upstairs it leads to this big loft area and that I've allocated for all Landon's toys. There is a full bath up here and two bedrooms. The open door leads to the spare bedroom and behind me is the boys bedroom.

The boys room.

Our backyard. It's nice to have it fully fenced and big enough to run around in. Now we just need more toys!

A beautiful Idaho sunset out our backdoor. We sure missed Idaho!

Balloon Glow

The whole fam at the balloon glow. Landon is just happy he got to stay up late and it's past his bedtime. I think our two little boys are the most adorable kids ever (most of the time). When we told Landon where we were going he was so excited and he just kept saying balloons. Then when we got out on the field and up close to the fire it scared him. He had fun, but just didn't want to get too close.

The best balloon of all the U of L Cardinal balloon. With all the money we've spent on schooling we could have bought it.

The balloons all lit up. You can't see all of them, but there were about 25 there.

A little clip of the all the balloons aglow.

Thunder Wonder

We had a great Saturday. It started off the same as always, Jace headed off to school to study for hours. He got home early afternoon and we had our breakfast for lunch, the boys' favorite meal. Then we went to a matinee of How to Train a Dragon. It was fun going to a movie as a family. Landon loved his 3D glasses and was enthralled by the movie. At one point we had to check to see if he was still awake he was sitting so quietly. Kian also was very good he sat quietly through part and slept through part. Then later we went to Thunder over Louisville for our last time. It's the most amazing thing you will ever see so if you get a chance don't miss it. We have only not gone once out of seven years. Here's daddy and Landon as we trek through all the people to get up to the front.

Look at all the pretty fireworks!
My favorite part of the fireworks is the waterfall off the bridge. It's amazing!

Here's a sampling of Thunder, mostly the finale which blew us away. The part that literally shakes the ground!

So that concludes our day which was probably the most fun we have had in a long time. Needless to say we all needed naps the next day!

BBQ and More

The weather last weekend was perfect so we decided to have a bbq with friends at our house before the madness of derby festivities and graduation ensues. It was sunny and warm without being too hot. The kids had fun playing together on the playset and bouncing around. It was nice to have the kids entertained so the parents could visit. Anyway here are some pics from all the fun.

Also we had to make smores. I welcome any excuse for chocolate.

Landon enjoying a smore. I think this was his first one he actually managed to eat all on his own! Umm good.

Here's a little video of us hanging out at home. It's pretty funny you get to see Landon doggy, Kian's teeth, and how crazy life is a the Hansen home!

Easter Egg Mania

The park with friends, what could possibly make it better? An easter egg hunt of course! Landon really got into it this year and was really quick to find them. He knew there was goodies hidden within this year.

Look Kian is already eyeing the eggs. Brothers!

Kian eating his rice cereal on his first Easter. He has really started to like eating "real" food. If you can call baby food real.

There is Landon playing with his cars. He carries around his cars everywhere. Don't try to take them away from him, he even has a hard time sharing them with his daddy. Now instead of being random cars it is Lightning, Dinoco, and Chick and he knows who they are. He says their names and watches the movie over and over.

Here is a sample of Landon Easter egg hunting and you get to see how big Kian is. Landon's hair is a mess because he had just woken up from a nap and is still a little groggy. After having an Easter egg hunt on Friday at the park with friends we had to put some more out on Easter so Daddy could join in the fun. Having kids sure makes holidays more enjoyable. Their excitement is so contagious!

I Like Spring!

~This post is dedicated to Mindy. I like how you tell all that you have experienced so I'm doing my post about my week the same way you always do!~

I like that I can watch Netflix on my tv via my wii. Technology has come a long way since my first computer when I was eight!
I like the zoo and the new baby animals. I don't like all the people at the zoo.
I like hearing Landon laugh at the monkey as he climbs and swings all around.
I like hearing Kian laugh at Landon as they sit across the table from each other.
I don't like Landon running away from me in the Church parking lot and trying to chase him in my high heels.
I like the crockpot now and my new favorite cooking website crockpot365.blogspot.com.
I like that Jace loves crockpot dinners.
I like that everything is good right now with our plan to move to Boise.
I don't like it when it feels like everything is falling apart with our future plans.
I don't like cooking without cheese.
I like that I can eat cheese.
I'm glad there are good butter substitutes and I can't tell the difference in potatoes or cookies.
I'm glad Kian has two teeth and can roll over. I wish he wouldn't get any bigger, he is so cute and sweet at this age.
I like all the new words Landon is learning.
I like the movie Cars.
I don't like the movie Cars over and over!
I love Alias, a show I had never really watched until now.
I don't like trying to get Landon to bed lately.
I like that Kian loves eating his rice cereal and has gotten the hang of eating real food very quickly.
I love spring and everything blooming.

St. Patrick's Day

Here's me with my two little boys in our St. Patrick's Day green. Daddy was in his same old boring blue scrubs so he wasn't allowed in the picture.

My two little leprechauns. They are cute in green, aren't they? Landon has so much energy and enthusiasm. He is one of the happiest little boys I've ever met. He loves to be outside and loves dogs. We went to dog hill and he ran around and played with all the big dogs. He's talking more every day and we have so much fun with him.

Kian is getting so big; he smiles and laughs all the time. His first tooth just came in and mommy isn't very excited for all the rest to come in. Kian simply adores his older brother and is such a content wonderful baby. I'm not sure I want my sweet little baby to get any bigger, but I'm sure we'll enjoy each sweet new stage also.

THE END!

Girl's Night Bowling

We usually try to have girl's nights, usually at someone's house, but this last time Shanah and Cassie had the great idea of going bowling. It was a lot of fun. I can't remember the last time I had been bowling as evidenced by my poor attempts, but then again I always was a bad bowler. You've never had fun until you've experienced those music choices and Brinn's chicken impression. Thanks for the great girl's night everyone!

Being Two!

Landon is a very energetic, happy two year old. He is talking more and more every day and always knows what he wants. It finally warmed up outside last week so we actually made it to the park to play. Thank goodness for the park. Here he is playing and having fun. Recently he likes to take his cars and send them zooming down the slide first.

Exhausted? Landon has decided that he is two old to nap and so for the last few weeks we have been struggling between naptime and bedtime, this was one of those days he just wouldn't go to bed until he crashed where he was. At least this last week we've gotten a routine. No nap and bedtime around 7:30. It's nice to have a little time at night, now if we could just get Kian on a schedule!

My Hat

Landon is now sleeping in his big boy bed so we now have the crib set up for Kian, mobile and all. Landon has enjoyed jumping in the bed and playing with the mobile. One morning he came into my room saying my hat, my hat wearing the mobile on his head. I thought it was adorable so after I finally found my camera I made him put it back on for a picture.

We just had to try the "hat" on Kian.

Landon wouldn't let me take pictures without doing the same. At least he does use that Christmas present sometimes.

Well it's been a long time since I posted since I've been busy with the house and my church calling. The house is now officially up for sale and I just have to keep it clean. A feat easier said than done. Here's to hoping the next few months go smoothly and we move to Boise!
